All we have to do is settle it on the mat, but this is very much a rebuilding year. We will have to have some guys step up big time.

But the future is awfully bright. John has great wrestlers signed or committed.

If I remember correctly Intermat has a bit of a grudge against OSU and never puts us in a good light if they can avoid it....

No, that's about where we're ranked in most polls. We only have one pre-season threat at champion, and only a few weights where we're projected to get an all-american.

We should rise in the rankings for a couple of reasons. Freshmen and Redshirt Freshmen are not placed in pre-season polls. If the hype is correct, Jamal Parks will be a possible all-american contender at 141.

Clayton Foster had a great summer and should hopefully have a breakout season (unfortunately for him, all other Big 12 wrestlers at his weight are ranked higher than he is, so it'll definitely be an uphill battle, but he'll be battle-tested coming into the post-season.)

Mason's natural weight has always been 165, so he should hopefully be a little more consistent and match up better at his natural weight.

Chris McNeill could be a surprise too. He had a decent outing in open tourneys as a freshmen, and could make an impact.

133 will be interesting because we have Shinn who has shown to be a fairly consistent wrestler with Chris Notte right behind him who is a NJCAA champion and is supposed to be pretty good as well.

149 and 174 are probably our weakest weights as of now, but if a couple people come on strong, we may be a darkhorse come tourney time.

Try 4th Big 12 school. Iowa State is #2.

Good thing uo still has a wrestling program or the Cowboys would be in the cellar of the Big Tive.

We need more Big 12 schools involved in wrestling.
