Donovan,

As a fan of the Cowboys for more years than you've been alive, I want to say that of all of the Cowboys I've ever seen play -- Barry, Thurman, Leslie O'Neal, Mike Gundy, Alonzo, even your older brothers -- you are my favorite Cowboy.

On the evening of your finale as a Poke, you've shown an amazing commitment to the team, to your brothers in arms, and to the school. Nobody has been asked to do more and do it without complaint than you have. You aren't all American, and you didn't rewrite any record books, but you showed everyone what a team player could be. If we had another dozen like you on any given year, I'd take it.

Dedication, smarts, flexibility, team spirit, and toughness are what you're all about. That's everything we need. That's everything we should ask for.

Thanks for everything

Amen! His coach could take many lessons from him on being a class act.

As good a team player he is I hope he gets picked up by a team in the NFL.

I do feel sorry for him, because of how many times he was moved, he was not able to learn the position and play to his best ability. But I think the 2nd half of this season it clicked in his head, and he has played pretty good at LB. Like the OP said, not all american, but a solid LB.

Donovan Woods is THE super-ultimate TEAM player! I will use his example often, for myself and others that I try to influence.

Amen. Earlier I clicked on the "reply" button at least twice, but decided that anything that I had to say to the "first responder" would just detract from Verb's good message about Donovan.

Donovan is a great young man. No other words can describe him. It has been a pleasure to have him as my adoptive player. I wish him the best of luck in his future. I, too, wish he can get into the pros and show what a super player he is.

GO POKES!!!!

Yep.

Ditto. Nothing else needs to be said, except thanks Momma and Pops Woods. Send us those grandsons as soon as they're ready.
