Thank you Mississippi State. You did good.

I felt really bad that I was actually cheering against a player, but I just couldn't bear to see Barry's record broken. If his record is ever to be broken then I want it to be done by an OSU player.

Kevin Smith is a good player and I'm sure we will see him on Sundays.

I just wish the NCAA would wise up and rewrite the record books. Since bowl games now count toward career and season rushing yards, they need to update all the records and add post season yardage.

I don't really care if the record is broken--sooner or later, all records are--but it needs to be accounted fairly, as BBB said.

Actually we will see him next year still in the college ranks in that he has already stated he will be back for his Senior year. The difference may be that he will not have some of those big old linemen in front of him and he will be on everyone's radar.

Everything you read about him implies he is a really nice kid, but I agree with everyone above. The NCAA needs to make all records equal or breaking the rushing record is just a hollow victory.

I'm with you there, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon. Most likely, some run-happy QB from a FCS school will break it.

Was the biggest Mississippi State fan in the south for this game for selfish reasons .. I just didn't want Barry's record broken... specially by a guy who plays mid to lower tier teams.

Good job Croom... way to get the defense ready
