View Full Version : Semi Pro football team forming in Stillwater

The Stillwater Outlaws, a semi-professional football team competing in the Oklahoma Metro Football League this spring, will be holding an informational meeting for prospective players on Wednesday at the Sheerar Museum on the corner of Seventh Street and Duncan Avenue at 7 p.m.

Tryouts will begin Saturday with practice starting on Sunday. The Outlaws’ first preseason game will be against the Norman Nitro on Jan. 26 and the 10-week regular season is set to start on March 1. For more information, visit www.stillwateroutlaws.com.

When I saw who some of the coaches were I couldn't help but laugh! But Big Pete is right, they gotta change up that website, hurts my eyes to look at it.

I believe that is officially the 10,000th team from Oklahoma named the Outlaws.

How is this 'semi-pro' if they have to pay to enter and aren't getting any money back? It looks like a big intramural league. Heck, I'd go to a game to check it out. I'll be curious to see what former OSU players we might see on it.

It is very similar to a city league. The games are in Oklahoma City. I didn't see any former players there last night, but only about half of the people that signed up were there. We will see who comes on Saturday for tryouts.

Tryouts are just north of Couch Park in Stillwater this Saturday at 11:00
