You know, while watching the Pokes demolish ISU, all I could think was...just a few short years ago that was us! This year's team has improved so much, they could play a ragged, half hearted game and still score at will. And the defense just seems to keep getting better week after week.
Remember last year alot of Poke fans were getting a little disenchanted with Gundy. Now, I doubt very many are complaining. He may be a little stubborn, and not always the best with the media, but there is no doubt he had a vision for this team and has steadfastly worked towards it. It is fascinating to think just how good this team can be in the next few years.
A caller on the OKC sports animal radio show put it best this week when she called out the OU fans with this quote, "there's a new sheriff in town, and his name is Pistol Pete."

My how things have changed...
Mark Rogers of KOCO just picked OSU to win the Bedlam matchup on the post game show. Yes, post game show. Have we even ever HAD a post game show devoted to US?
Wake me up... i must be dreaming.

I just wish the "fire gundy" crowd would step up and admit they were wrong.
I don't mean the ones who were skeptical of the hire but willing to give him a shot. I mean the ones who spewed hatred repetitively. The ones who 6-6 & bowl games weren't acceptable while rebuilding. The ones who pretty much criticized him in every aspect of his coaching career and wanted him gone.

Now we're wondering if we are going to win out.:officechair: All three games are tough. We should beat Colorado but it is a perfect trap game regardless of what happens next week. It is at Boulder, and, if we win, euphoria could set in or , if we lose, depression could be the problem. OU coming up the next week gives us opportunities to look past the Buffs. Tech and OU are just plan tough games with maybe Tech being a little tougher since it is in Lubbock. What a time to be a Cowboy fan!! :ousucksnana: Is this great or what?

Actually the way things work out:
Nov. 8th:
OSU at Tx-Tech
OU at aTm
Nov. 15th
OSU at Colorado
OU off
TT off
Nov 22nd
OSU off week
Tx-Tech at OU
Nov. 29th
uO At OSU
Baylor @ Tx-Tech
Schedule works out fairly good for us. We get the week off before the gooners to rest and get healthy while they have to put up with playing TT.

Kinda blows a hole in old "we play for championships" Bob's complaint about playing Thanksgiving weekend, right? Both OU and OSU will have had a bye week within two weeks of that game...

I'm not much for extracting revenge on those who happen to choose the wrong side on an issue...
I just wish that those who withdrew their support over it would come back into the fold... I mean gosh, this show has got to be worth the price of admission, even at these higher prices.
Come on back Poke fans, we're going even higher than this and we would like to have everyone along... bury the hatchet and come on back.
