Stillwater High School senior Chris Perry has given a verbal commitment to wrestle collegiately at Oklahoma State.
The three-time state champion is expected to sign his letter of intent on Nov. 12, the first day of the early signing period.
Perry is regarded as one of the top high school wrestlers in the nation. Amateur Wrestling News lists Perry as the No. 1 competitor in the 189-pound weight class. Perry is 97-1 in his three-year high school career and will bring a 65-match win streak into his senior season.
Perry comes from good bloodlines. He is the nephew of OSU wrestling coach John Smith, his father Mark Perry Sr. was a two-time All-American at OSU in 1984-85, and his older brother Mark Perry Jr. was a two-time national champion at Iowa.
