OSU recruiting: Another commitment coming?
Published: October 31, 2008

Oklahoma State’s commitment list could grow again as early as this weekend, if Georgia fullback David Paulsen likes what he sees in Stillwater.

The Marietta Walton High standout will arrive in Oklahoma Saturday morning and attend the Cowboys’ 2:30 p.m. game against Iowa State at Boone Pickens Stadium.

"If things go well this weekend, it’ll be hard for me to say no to OSU,” Paulsen said. "They offered me two months ago, and things just keep getting better and better.”

Paulsen is looking forward to seeing the facilities first-hand and meeting coach Mike Gundy, the other coaches and academic staff. Paulsen said he’s considering a major in sports medicine.

The versatile Paulsen is being recruited by multiple NCAA Division I programs as a defensive end, but he likes the idea of playing fullback at OSU. The Cowboys do not currently have a fullback on scholarship, but Paulsen could be used for more than just blocking in short-yardage formations.

"They said they want to incorporate the fullback more in the spread,” he said. "I’ve played a lot of positions, like tight end and H-back, so that’s fine with me.”

A longtime Georgia fan, Paulsen is also being recruited by the Bulldogs, though they have not made a scholarship offer. And even if they do, it might not change anything.

"It seems like Georgia might have to settle for me,” he said, "and I don’t want that.”

Thanks for the heads up!

So with Lowe, that would be another good pick up (this kid
is reportedly being recruited by Duke,G.Tech, and a few other schools.

QB wise, I-State got a commit yesterday from a Tx dual threat
type qb. This is a kid that we have been stringing along (T.McHaugue or something
like that). I do believe one of our targeted qb's will COME back
to us before Feb. o9.

Thanks again and keep the recruiting news comin'
