It says it is on an interim basis so it maybe true so Eddie can get his 800th win. I would like to see Him get to the 800 win milestone just wish he could have done it at here.

It's actually the University of San Francisco. Maybe he's known about this for a while and that is the reason for the fake tans.

Didn't they hire Gene Keady, one of Eddie's long time assts., or try to hire away from Purdue a few years back as well?

ESPN is reporting it on the radio.

They're reporting that it would be on an "interim basis" for the rest of the year.

Go get 'em, Eddie. If he wants to do it, that's his prerogative. I'm certain he'll be criticized by many, but he has every right to do what he chooses. Who are we to decide what a person should do career/life wise?

Individual records make the world go 'round for some.

I can think of two individuals that records meant really nothing to them in the grand scheme of things.

Barry Sanders is the first to come to mind and Abe Lemons is the second with his 599 wins.

well if it's true I'll pencil going to Malibu (Pepperdine) and Loyola Marymount (LA) for their road games in Feb. Always was a fan of Eddie.

We should have let him accomplish this milestone at OSU. I was and continue to be disgusted with us that we didn't.

Verb, I believe God knew what he was doing in Eddie's case.

Remember it's just a number.

Wait a minute. Is this the same ESPN that told us Bill Parcells would be the new VP of Operations for the Atlanta Falcons?

I think I will believe it when I see it.

I'm not sure I think God is who forced Eddie to retire.

What if the guy who owns the guy who forced him to retire, thinks he is God?

But I believe He was watching. I also believe there is a reason for everything and that some good will come from all the bad we experience.

The test is how we handle the bad while waiting for the good to come from it.

Eddie is still being tested and so are we.

If he wants to coach again for the numbers, I would tell him to let it go, that he had his chance, that he is just being selfish and that it's time for someone else to share similar experiences that God let Eddie have. If two more numbers count really nothing to him and he just wants to coach and teach young men again, I would say go for it.

Eddie gave a letter to my oldest daughter's store (tanning) saying that he was going away but would be back in Late March.

Now I didn't say Eddie's been tanning. I'm just saying that my daughter works in the corporate office of the Riviera and Eddie is a known customer. He came in today and said he would be leaving for a few months but would be back.
