Jason is headed to Germany in the morning to play for team Jena, has anyone here had any luck with Satellite tv on the computer.
Is a scam, does it work? I am not sure I can even get his games, but I will be trying to find a way to pick up them up.
Any info would be great. Thanks

I got a call in to a friend of mine that is from India. He watches sports from there all the time on some web site that's free. I'll send you an e-mail when I get ahold of him.

Greg, Try this. GO to www.sopcast.com and download their driver. Supposedly you can watch all kinds of international sports. If that works for you and you can see Jason playing, let me know so I can watch also.
Hope that helps...

Done. Now I have to try to find the game when they are playing. I got used to watching him play on the computor. CBA does live webcasts of most all of the games. He was really kicking butt with Butte, he hit 29pts 15 rebounds, 4 assists 1 block and a steal on his last game, but the overseas money was yelling at him, and this team called Jena was in need of a big guy, they stepped up and made him offer he couldnt turn down.
I just hate not being able to watch. The team websight looks like they might broadcast it, but I wont know untill game time. And it looks like it might be pay per view.
I have to translate everything to read it.
Anyway, thanks Daren! I will let you know.

If I were going out of town or overseas for an extended trip... I would checkout the Slingbox.
http://slingbox.com/
I've never used one but it looks interesting enough to investigate.

I have a slingbox and it is pretty cool. If you have a high speed connection where you are out of town, you can control your tv. I think it is awesome if you also have a TIVO or DVR and get to watch your recorded shows.
The screen isn't that big and the sound isn't terrific, but it is pretty sweet if you are really addicted to tv like I am.

I got a slingbox for christmas that I'm going to hook up today.
well you guys need to remember it's jason that will need the sling box. Who knows if it will work over seas.
If it is on local TV in Germany I would ask Jason if he can look into getting slingbox locally in Germany.

He would probably need a slingbox that does PAL instead of the NTSC format that we use for TV here in the US. I think they make one. He would just need to hook it up to his TV signal and then the internet. It should work fine from Germany as long as he has a fast enough connection.

Interesting thread...I'm watching closely for any tips & hints for getting satellite tv reception for when I go to Algeria later this Spring!

Slingbox is the easiest way, and not that expensive either.

Yeah, slingbox is great. I've had one since the first week they were released in July 2005 and love it.

On the team websight it looks like they have pay per view. I was looking for free. But if thats all I can get I will do it to watch him play. Jason is going to check with them and see how it is broadcast and possibly send me a link.
Anyway I have untill to 6th to figure it out! Thanks for the tips.
