Offense: C
During the second half, the Cowboys managed only two Dan Bailey field goals. Three possessions stalled inside of the Baylor 5-yard line. Dez Bryant played at a high level, but his teammates were average. For only the second time in 18 games, OSU did not have a 100-yard rusher. Hunter bobbled an option pitch that was recovered by Baylor and led to the Bears' only touchdown.
Defense: A
For the second consecutive week, a strong performance by the OSU defense. Baylor finished with 204 total yards. On their third possession of the game, the Bears had a 10-play, 65-yard scoring drive. On their other 48 plays from scrimmage, the Bears netted only 139 yards (2.9 per snap). The Bears did not have a run from scrimmage of longer than 10 yards.
Special teams: B
Matt Fodge crushed a rugby-style punt that covered 58 yards. The ball rolled dead at the Baylor 14-yard line. Fodge also had a 44-yard punt that was not returned. A 60-yard Dez Bryant punt return, which would have been for a touchdown, was nullified when Orie Lemon was flagged for an illegal block. Perrish Cox popped a 36-yard kickoff return. Baylor's Mikail Baker entered as the nation's leading kickoff-return specialist at 35.8 yards per return. On six returns against the Cowboys, he did not have a return of longer than 25 yards. Following Baylor's only touchdown, OSU's Derek Burton blocked the extra-point kick.

"They're a good football team — just exactly what I thought. There's a reason that they haven't been beaten this year. They play hard, they've got good people and they're well coached."
Coach Art Briles on OSU
"They play good defense. Confidence is a great booster, and right now they've got a lot of confidence. That helps them play well on both sides."
Briles on OSU's defense
"It wasn't anything they were doing. Players make plays and we all have to do that. I didn't play a perfect game. No one ever does."
Quarterback Robert Griffin on the Bears' offensive execution
"We gave away too many points in the first half and let them get momentum and they just kind of ran away with it."
Safety Jordan Lake on the game's outcome
