You know, we've come a little ways since AnniePokely & crew brought us this board...in my humble opinion TheBestDamnOStateSportsBoardEver...and I wonder if we should give it a "Handle". You know way back when, when we had the GoPokes.com, we called it the "Poke Board". Then when, upon its sad demise, we migrated to the "Ryno Board". Now we have this fine message board...shouldn't we give it a catchy "handle" or some kind of "Term of Endearment"? Suggestions, anyone? :D
By the way....I hope this message finds all of you safe, warm, and in close company with family today and all through the holidays. Travel yesterday from Whitesboro to Stillwater was treacherous, yet I saved my "automotive gymnastics" for the slight incline on 6th Street in front of the Vo-Tech State Offices right here in Stillwater. Going really slow, and believing to be in control, the tires just lost traction under power and I ended up doing a 270 with my front tires coming to rest against the eastbound curb. I didn't think I was going to get enough traction to back away from it and continue to Mom's house out by Skyline School, but I got the car rocking a little and was able to back up then pull away. The first oncoming westbound truck stopped traffic from that direction, and the first car behind me stopped the eastbound traffic so that we didn't end up with a pile-up...if any of you were one of those two drivers, my thanks to you.
