Looks to me that we have as much opportunity to pick apart their defense as they do ours.

That is a frightening thing to consider ...

The formula to beating Mizzou is simple

1. Defense must play inspired. One turnover or two three and outs could win it for us.
2. Offense must get seven points everytime we have the ball. No penalties, no turnovers-long drives, ball control and running effectively
3. Special teams must be special-continue the great special teams play

Sounds easy huh? We'll see

I don't even know if we have to score 7 points every time we have the ball. I think we just need to score more often than them.;)

My feelings around field goals are they usually either win the game or lose the game for ya. It all depends if you have the ball last. If you've got it in the end, usually a field goal can win it for ya, but if your on your heels in the last two minutes on defense, if we've been kicking field goals all day then we're in trouble

The only thing that concerned me from the A&M game was our inability to get a yard or two in key situations. If we can iron that out before next Saturday, I think we'll be have a very good chance.

It would be nice to win this one. It would make a statement on the national scene.

If the Cowboys can make Mizzou run three plays and punt for the first time this year and turn this contest into a punting game, we have a win according to these numbers:

#21 Missouri Punt Return Defense vs. #1 Punt Return Team
#2 OSU Punt Return Defense vs. #54 Punt Return Team

#7 OSU Net Punting
#55 Missouri Net Punting

Legel, I agree. If we can limit our punts and not kick to Maclin when we do, we should dominate special teams play like we have in every game. This contest could very well come down to who has the better special teams play, we have the decided edge in this area.

For some reason I think the defense has a statement game in this one and we get the win, just a hunch, and I just knocked on wood so we're covered:koolaid:

Pooh, that worried me as well. One of the best lines in the country and we can't punch it in when we need too. Man where's Julius aka Juice when ya need him!!

I think we ran into an angry A&M team and to be honest they took the mantality that we've been their whipping boy since the conference's inception so why should it change now. Why? Because we outman them at every position on both sides of the ball. We've definitely moved ahead of them in the pecking order of the conference, now it's time to set our site on Tech as the next step.
