Have heard that tonights game was considered for TV,but Holder decided against it,in that he wanted to set an attendance record. Also was told that next weeks game against Mo.State is on tv,but only direct tv,etc...no cox. Sounds pretty far fetched to me,but was just wondering if anyone else had heard anything about either.

As far as I am aware, that is true. They would have had to move the kickoff time up to 11:00 and Holder wanted to sell more tickets and not ruin the tailgating environment that an evening kickoff provides.

If it's true, I actually think it was a pretty good call on Holder's part. (Even though I'm so far away and won't get to see the game! But hey, I'm willing to do my part for the team, dangit!)

Next weeks game is on a network that cox does not carry. FSS or something weird like that. Have to have sat. to see it.

I hate early games in the summer. I'm all for no tv if they want to move it early. 6pm games are great!

It's all fine up to a point. After that you begin to lose media penetration into prospective recruits' homes. If you look as though you won't be a showcase for a top athlete, he may just decide to go somewhere else that gets TV time.

As with everything in life, it's a balancing act.

I would not make this trade every time, but sometimes it is better for the school and the Stillwater merchants and the city, who has put money into BPS.

anyone who thinks holder doesn't have OSU's best interest at heart, are nuts.

I dont like it , Idont like it, This is what I have a Problem with , If Osu doesnt get to play on regular tv channels then how in hell is Osu supose to showcase our players to help recuiting if osu isnt on tv. this burns my orange hide because i think our talent has fallen off at dt, and rb . if osu is supose to make the jump it needs better exposure and in my eyes osu does a less then stellar marketing job. the more osu is on tv the better it helps recruiting and this is my concern.

Speaking of the game not being on tv, does anyone know if there is something available like the old Jax club?

We're talking about Houston and Missouri State for gosh sakes.

We'll be on TV later in the season if we win some games... the Big12 games are not picked until two weeks out.

Almost guarenteed that the Missouri game will be on TV, and likely the Texas game, possibly the CU game... (OU already scheduled for TV)

Ding, ding, ding; cali wins the cement bicycle. Until I overall record improves we will only have a chance for X amount of games to be on TV, I'd rather wait for big 12 play and a 5-0 record.

Jax doesn't live on campus anymore. If you know someone who lives on campus that is willing to hook up the Jumbotron channel feed like he did, then we could get that action again, but I don't know anyone on campus anymore. Someone here who has a kid at OSU that lives on campus needs to help us out.

Ya, I didn't figure it would be Jax doing it anymore. I was hoping that someone else had taken over the reins of that project. Someone should be the coolest kid on campus and go ahead and hook that up for us! :pete:

For those of you out of state or who have to work I understand you being upset, but you fellow Okies NEED to be at the game! You can get tickets for next to nothing and park for TOTALLY FREE, pack a LUNCH and all you are paying for is gas!

Get in the car, make the drive!! It will be worth your effort! I promise ;).

Rack, I've been out of town every weekend in August, I have to take a break from the road for a bit. If I had known they were giving tickets away for next to nothing I might have considered it more though.

I looked into going. I could have bought tickets on the 50 (2nd Level 1st row) on Houston Craigslist for 30 bucks each! It was almost worth it, but I had a fishing tournament today that I'd already committed to... I was able to listen to the game online.

I bought tickets outside the game and they were only $45 for west endzone tickets which is where I wanted to sit. Let me say it is nice sitting down there as you can see all the action from that angle.

As far as the Mizzou State game this week it is on one of the fox sports alternative channels that you can get with dish or directtv.
