Hot off the press
Coming soon the National Enquirer will publish a story about an affair including Palin and her husbands business partner. McCain camp has already issued a statement about it, and the enquirer responds
ENQURIER RESPONDS TO MCCAIN/PALIN

"The National Enquirer's coverage of a vicious war within Sarah Palin's extended family includes several newsworthy revelations, including the resulting incredible charge of an affair plus details of family strife when the Governor's daughter revealed her pregnancy. Following our John Edwards' exclusives, our political reporting has obviously proven to be more detail-oriented than the McCain campaign's vetting process. Despite the McCain camp's attempts to control press coverage they find unfavorable, The Enquirer will continue to pursue news on both sides of the political spectrum."
I dont know how true I think it is, but with the recent Edwards affair, i think it gives the Enquirer a little more validity. Google it. More to come soon. But all be prepared.
Side note. I do not think it should have any effect on the outcome. I think people shouldn't be judged on their personal life. For some reason the American public finds that more fascinating.

I'll give Palin credit for this: she has provided America with a valuable and apparently badly needed lesson on what happens when you teach girls abstinence instead of science.

Are there as many unwanted pregnancies on the farm as there are in the city?
Don't girls and boys on the farm get a good taste of applied "science" one on one.

Oh, yes, you don't think it should have any affect but you had to it bring up.

You Bible Thumpers and Right-Wing Zealots are now wanting to give Palin a free pass for screwing her husbands business partner because it's a private matter. You guys are the same ones that wanted to run Bill Clinton out of Washington on a rail for his indiscretion. I believe that is called hippocracy.

God, I love the left coast jack-off-idiot mentality. It's in the Enquirer, so it's true. The moronic-convergence is at hand; vote for the "S.M.".

so back then, getting a hummer from an intern was no big deal, but now you have morals and it's an important issue?
So it's okay for guys but not a woman? How sexist of you.
Maybe we should ask "thong or briefs?"
That might endear her to you folks.

A story by the National Enquirer that utilizes unnamed sources? This same thing was tried by the New York Times in regard to an alleged affair by McCain and ended with the NYT looking like the National Enquirer. Maybe the Enquirer is trying to look like Mad Magazine or the Weekly World News. It's all about image.

Yup, I remember Edwards threatened the Enquirer. And my oh my, he was just trying to scare them away from the truth. It eventually come out anyway.

So if Palin had taught her daughter about condom's and birth control she wouldn't be pregnant today? Right, because teaching that stuff means there's a 100% chance that 15-17 year old kids always do what they are told.
Personally I have no problem teaching both but it's a pretty big leap to think this is some proof that teaching abstinence alone doesn't work, nor does a young woman getting pregnant after being taught the "science" of it all disprove that method is ineffective. It all comes back to execution of the method being taught and scientifically speaking there is only one method that is 100% effective when practiced. However if that plan isn't executed than it doesn't matter what you've been taught.

No we're not, Mr. Stereotype. Let her pay the consequences for whatever decision she made or did not make. Did she do it? I dunno. Right now, the article seems to have the credibility of a small-town rumor mill. Might be true, might not.
On the topic of President Clinton, he did not get into trouble for playing around on Hillary. The issue was whether or not he committed a felony by perjuring himself under oath during a deposition. It wasn't about morality, it was about legality. As most of us know, there's a big difference between the two.

That's pretty harsh.
How do you know that sex education was not taught in her daughter's school. It was taught to me in 7th grade biology, if I recall correctly.
My brother's girlfriend got pregnant when they were both teenagers. They married and had the kid. They knew the risks involved of having sex. However, they took responsibility for their actions. They married and are still married 20-something years later.
My brother worked his ass off to support his young family while a student at OSU. He had a full time job and still managed to graduate in 4 years.
Seems to me like that's an apparently badly needed lesson that the entire country should learn. Hey America, stop whining and take responsibility for your actions.

well said, :action-smiley-033:the donkeys just don't get it. What Nixon did was lie to the US public, he never perjured himself

So it's not okay to believe things published in the National Enquirer, but radical statements in viral emails about Obama being a Muslim and the antichrist are believable?
**I'm not necessarily saying anyone here believes those things about Obama, but there are quite a few people who do. I'm rambling here, but my point is that some people believe anything in the written form, whether it's in a trashy tabloid or in an email from their friends.

No need if Obama is elected. He wants to create a social program for that.

You Athiest Left-Wing liberal lemmings have nothing of substance so you go right for personal attacks.
Clintons personal life had nothing to do with how he governed, but now its the only ammunition you have, and there are no credible sources for the claims.
We will see where is goes from here. But if it didnt matter for slick willy, why should it matter for her? Talk about hippocracy.
