Mmm...home game this Saturday!

I hope it's as good as the first one. I didn't care as much for last years version because AC\DC sucks.

"Back in the Saddle" just fit better.

We need CCR to rewrite "Boys from Oklahoma", to use.

I'll go ahead and throw out the most obvious answer that will never happen.

Cowboys from Hell.

Bottom line, if you don't make it to the game, you won't get to see either this new video OR the game. Go Pokes!

Oh, I'm going to the game...I'm just curious about the video!

What are some plays you'd like to see in our video? A few come to mind for me:

D'Juan just crushing Rufus Alexander

Any number of Barry's amazing runs.

Barry Hannah's bowl run (it never gets old).

Keith Burns running a blocked PAT 90something yards for 2 points.

Mark Moore obliterating someone.

Fields to Woods.

Hart Lee Dykes one handed grab.

Perrish Cox kickoff return for TD.

Lacey intercepting McCoy three times (cool to see 3 pics in a row on a video in fast succession).

Thurman diving into the endzone.

Bob Fenimore running for a TD, throwing for a TD, making an interception and punting deep....

I recently watched the 1945 Cottom Bowl agains TCU on Cowboy MVP over on the athletic site.... it's pretty entertaining if you get a chance to see it.

I'd still love to see em put the older ones up on the official site, sell copies for like $5,etc...heck like everything else put a decent copy on youtube. I wanna see em all again, but yes,the Aerosmith was MUCH better.

I've been saying for years that we should run onto the field to "Cowboys From Hell"

Classics!

From my childhood, I would add Harold Bailey obliterating a Nebraska DB along the sideline. Unfortunately, it was after he threw a pick but it was one of the biggest hits that I have ever seen.

Why would Creedence rewrite a song that some less talented name-stealing band wrote?

Amen, Exit!!

Couldn't agree more! Ragweed needs to tag and bag and get lost. In the words of Mike Gundy, "Its garbage!"

CaliCowboy, the blocked kick you were referring to I think is from the 0U game that was a 15-15 tied where the goons made a FG at the end of the game to tie. Burns did return the block PAT for 2 pts but Mike Wooldridge actually blocked the try.

Name Stealing? The names are completely different.
The acronyms are the same though.

Some folks are hyper sensative about a band. Crazy.
Lose a girlfriend to one of the guys or something?

I heard on KSPI this morning that the main song was "Loud" by Big and Rich.

From the "game day schedule" thread:

6:00 pm “We Like it Loud”...don’t miss the exciting new team entrance video as the Cowboys take the field

As much as I like country music I dont like Big & Rich. I dont like much of the rock/pop crap they are trying to pass off as country anyway.

I hope the video clips outdo the music selection. I dont hate the song, but nothing I would come close to choosing.

I think they knocked it out of the park with "Back in the Saddle" and nothing else has come close.

Its like winning the Heisman as a freshman, and living in your own shadow after that!

That being said, bring it on. Im ready for some Cowboy football!

As a high school football player, AC/DC was one of the only non-rap groups that made our playlist, along with Megadeth, Metallica and Anthrax.

How dare you say AC/DC doesn't get you ready for a football game????

Then again, we were pathetic 6-24 my 3 years on varsity.

We used AC/DC as well, Lewis...of course, in my 3 years of varsity, we were 12-18...maybe it's the music?!?

But we mainly used it because our school colors were black, silver, and white, and we were called the Thunderhawks (horrible name, I know)...so naturally, "Thunderstruck" and "Back in Black" had to be played...

Oh, and my senior year, we went 4-6 (3-1 at home) and came out to "That's Amore" by Dean Martin...

What a terrible choice for a pregame video song. Whoever's idea that was needs to be fired.

Seriously? Hehheh, that cracks me up. Kind of a reverse psychology, kill them with kindness thing?

From an old guy that has a VERY difficult time with most of the crap coming out of the radio speakers these days....Cody Canada and Cross Canadian Ragweed, and the rest of the Red Dirt Country movement following them, have the rockin-est tunes to make waves in the air.

For the chute-opening for Boys in Orange, I go for the hard-edged stuff like Back in the Saddle, Cowboys From Hell, Dead or Alive, etc...but it would be very cool for the hometown boys Ragweed to re-do Boys of Oklahoma to fit the setting of BPS:cowboy::music-smiley-005:

Seriously? Hehheh, that cracks me up. Kind of a reverse psychology, kill them with kindness thing?

It was an inside joke with our head coach...basically, during two-a-days, between practices, we would go to the wrestling room and relax while listening to music...I guess we had the music up too loud once, because coach came in yelling and screaming at us about our choice of "music"...he finished his rant by saying "Next time I hear music in my office, it better be Dean Martin!" So, me and one of my good friends went out to Best Buy that day and bought Dean Martin's greatest hits CD...the next day of two-a-days, during our break between, we all go to the wrestling room to hang out and relax, and we pop the Dean Martin CD in the CD player...when coach comes in, we all started singing along...it was one of the funniest things I can remember from my playing days...

Anyway, it kind of became the official song of our team and we played it before every game when we came out and warmed up...I can only imagine what the other teams' players were thinking when they heard it...

I liked it better then last years, but maybe not as much as the Aerosmith one. Overall another good job thou. I was almost thinking,we should have a new video each game, thus folks have to come to the games to see em? and you'd only have to make 7 at the most, and you got an entire off season to do it. Just a thought,as I know alot of folks really love the videos,as do I. I still want a copy of the Aerosmith one,as well as last years.

it was better than I anticipated, since I'm not a fan of b&r, but I enjoyed it.

Back in the saddle set the bar pretty darn high.
