OU's Blake Griffin ticketed for outraging public decency

By The Associated Press
NORMAN — University of Oklahoma starting forward Blake Griffin has been ticketed by Norman police for outraging public decency.

Police officer Barry Grippen wrote the citation saying he saw Griffin urinating on bushes in a parking lot near the northwestern edge of the OU campus shortly before 1 Thursday morning.

The report says Griffin told the officer he was waiting for a friend and couldn't leave the area to find a bathroom.

The citation says the 19-year-old Griffin was initially uncooperative but then began cooperating and was released. Griffin led OU with 14.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game last season and was projected as a high first-round pick in the NBA draft before deciding to return to OU for his sophomore season.

Does he have a cousin that went to OSU named Curly? I'm sorry. I sure you all knew who I was thinking about. So who's going to be the third peeing stooge and how long are we going to have to wait.

I would think the police would something more productive to do, however.

This crime use be under the category of indecent exposure in most cities. The police were less likely to arrest someone for this type of crime, because it had a damning and sexual connotation that really was warranted.

I wonder where he was released. Was it at the site of the crime or at the station?

If he was drinking on a Thursday he certainly was getting a head start for the weekend.
