I can't open any threads until I apparently start a thread so............

Just to be coherent, If we don't win the WSU game by 3 touchdowns ,we're not very good. Any arguments?:party-smiley-018:

Just win baby. There's no telling what kind of reception is waiting for the team up there or what might be hiding in wait.

Welcome PokeDave! And I agree with you. I'd like to see a big score too. OSU needs a great start this year.

First game of the season, 2000 miles from home, playing in front of a hostile crowd against the best passing offense in the Pac-10.

I'll be happy winning by a fieldgoal.

Is that to say I don't hope we win by more? Absolutely not, but I don't think WSU is going to be the cakewalk a lot of people might be expecting.

Sorry but I completely disagree. Just win the game and move on. By 3 or by 53, whatever. People read far too much into how a team wins the first game and what it says about what will happen for the rest of the season. And that goes both ways. Even if OSU wins by 21 that does not necessarily mean anything either.

If we were opening at home against a lower division team than yeah I would agree that it should be a bloodbath but it's against a Pac 10 team on the road. Just win and move on from there.

A win by a large margin on the road would be great....but I have to agree with the others...1 or 100 points, lets just win!! :cowboy:

"The devil is in the details." One of the wonderful/miserable things about college football is that so many unexpected and unpredictable things markedly influence the outcome. I say some close wins would be much more tolerable than others depending on the details of how it got that way.

Honestly, ultimatepoke, I don't really know. Annie and I bought this board with v-bulletin already installed, and we don't know all the ins and outs of how it works. This is a learn-as-you-go experience for all of us, your humble admins included.

Just win. I'll consider a season-opening, road win over Non-directional State by as little as 1 point, a resounding success. No doubt.

Along with everyone else, I just want the "W" and move on...A good road non-conference road win should get us off to a nice start...
