OU FANS SURPRISED TO LEARN THAT FOOTBALL TEAM IS PART OF A LARGER "SCHOOL"

NORMAN - OU fans expressed surprise recently when told that their beloved Sooner football team was actually part of a larger scholastic institution. Typical was the response from Gayden Dell (Muskogee High School, Class of '87) "I guess I never really thought about it" Dell said. "I kinda thought them buildings was where the president lived."

Other fans expressed a range of emotions that ran the gamut from disbelief to rage. "The only school that's being taught close to Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium is the teaching going on in Sam Bradford's pants!" shouted Jason Plod (Broken Arrow High School, Class of '92) before launching into a rambling version of Boomer Sooner while flashing an upside down hook 'em sign.

Still, some fans were philosophic about the revelation. Eileen (Brentwood) Graves (Del City High School, Class of '02) had this to say about the news, "I don't really believe it but I guess as long as they don't start making us fans go to classes, it'll be alright."

Yes Eileen. It'll be alright.
