Big-12 Bowl Predictions per www.collegebcs.com

Fiesta - Missouri
Orange - Oklahoma
Cotton - Texas Tech
Holiday - Kansas
Alamo - Texas
Sun - Nebraska
Insight - Texas A&M
Independence - Oklahoma State
Texas - No Eligible Big-12 Team Available

If we are lower than Alamo I would really like the Sun - Shatport is nasty and we just went to Phx last year. Unless we have an exceptional year I see 4-4 with KU, Mizzou, uo, UT and ttek above us (at least). That's 5 bowls and while 2 of them will most likely be BCS that is still 3 peeps being chosen above us for bowls. Gator won't take another B12 especially if we get 2 in BCS. We won't be chosen above ttek this year for sure, with 2 national award candidates. We must finish better than 4-4, beat atm and beat either ttek or UT to rise.

You know, I agree with you regarding the Sun Bowl...

The Alamo Bowl is always a good trip and a preferred destination in my books and frankly represents a "best case" scenario for us this year (IMHO). After that, we've already been in recent years to Houston, Independence, and Insight. The Sun Bowl would give a "new" destination for us.

I'd be good with a Sun Bowl trip this year.

I will say right now that there ain't no way in heck that KU is going to the Holiday bowl. I don't think they'll be good enough, and I don't think they'd pick KU over having Texas back "again".... those bowls are about making money.

I wouldn't be real surprised if KSU gets six wins... they have 3 really easy OOC games, and they should be able to get three more wins.

Never say never. The teams goal is to win the Big 12 and go to a BCS bowl. That, IMHO, should be our goal and expectation as well. Just saying. :food-smiley-004:

That is the second prediction of OSU to the Independence Bowl I have seen this preseason. The other one I saw had us playing Middle Tennessee I think.

I think that we are the big unknown of the B12 South. Actually...our D is the big unknown. We could end up anywhere from first to fourth. That's a wide range of bowls that we could end up in.

Oh, damn, ain't that the truth.

You think we would travel well to the Holiday? I know I worried about the prospect of us travelling to the Gator last year when that was possible. Anything close is gold, anything big is great, but anything decently good far away worries me. Hell I was super disappointed we only took 19k to Shatport.

I think the next time we go to the Holiday will be awesome - we'll travel well. What would worry me is if we were to go back to the Holiday within the next few years - people might not travel then.

This season is the 20th anniversary of OSU Holiday Bowl win. That would be interesting to go back there this year.

I think I could live with a Holiday Bowl victory in 2008. :cowboy:
