The "Boone Pickens Stadium" sign is being constructed on the West Endzone right now. Check out the link below to the West Cam.

B.P. thanks for the heads up.
Is it there a new picture every 5 minutes until dark?
The three cam clocks all have different times and none are correct.

Right now, they have up "E PICKENS ST". I had no idea they were going to name a street after Boone too! :D

or name the school BOONE PICKENS ST.
Let's hope they spell out stadium soon.
It looks like both cranes are putting up letters at the same time.

In all seriousness I am surprised they have named a street for him or do not have plans for it to happen soon.

Why?
I can think of Garth Brooks Blvd, Shannon Miller Parkway, Hoofer's has a highway named for him I think. Either Reba McIntyre or Vince Gill one have a road inT ulsa, and don't forget MLK. All these people have roads or highways named for them for their service to the state, why shouldn't Boone P have one?
I say all this not being a Boone P sunshine pumper. I am concerned with his level of involvement in certain aspects of OSU and wonder if someone would say "no" if they thought it best.
So, even with all my concerns, I can still seee the vast amount of good things that Boone P has done for OSU, Stillwater and Oklahoma; when compared to the other people with roads named for them I wonder why Boone P does not have a road named for him.

I'm sure that he cries himself to sleep every night because instead of naming a two block stretch of 4-lane after him they named a stadium.

No joke.
On the "Badass Meter", I certainly think having one's name bolted to the side of a state-of-the-art behemouth trumps having it posted above a stretch of I-44.
