really exhausting! And I don't even really have to do much. LOL
One thing I have to do is come up with some cool groomsmen gifts. Any ideas/suggestions other than the usual stuff? (beer steins with initials, money clips, etc)

The last wedding I was in the groom and groomsmen wore suits instead of tuxedos and our groomsmen gifts were matching ties. But it really only works if if your not going with tuxedo's.

I had a buddy give me one of those super 3 lever corkscrews (pulls the cork then pulls it off of the screw). I've gotten a lot of use out of that thing.
I gave stainless steel swiss army knives engraved with their names but forgot to order one for myself.
A nice flask could be pretty cool but that might be too "beer steiny".

Are you going to have to have this wedding in California? It's legal there now.

When I was a groomsman, I didnt get anything. I had to pay my own way (to san diego), rent my own tux, pay for my lodging, pay for my meals, and everything like that. He ended up getting a divorce. It's Karma...
No, I am not really that big of a jackass. They were completely wrong for each other, didnt trust each other, and wouldn't listen to reason. The night before the wedding, we had to sneak to his apartment, cause he was afraid of infidelity, and thought something might be going on (just a red flag, if the night before your wedding, you think you fiance is making woopie to someone else, thats not a good thing).
Even though I thought it was a bad decision (i feel, and i guess the divorce papers do too), I was still honored to go out and be a part of his wedding. It was worth the costs i incurred. He at least was willing to put his heart on the line and try something. But It still would have been cool if he bought me some cool little nic-nack.

It's inherently impossible for a male to "stalk" Pride.

I gave my groomsmen stainless steel personal grooming kits that had their name embossed on it. They all thouth they were nice. Had clippers, tweezers, razor, electric nose hair clipper, etc. It's been 6 years so I don't remember where I got them at. Good luck. Beer of the month club is also a nice thing. I got a 6 month membership from a buddy a few years ago. There are also cigar of the month clubs too. Lots of ideas out there.
I'm really curious what Memphis had to say, but I can only imagine and that probably isn't preverted enough!

The last wedding I was in we all got 8-track players and a $10 Sears gift certificate to get the music we like. I think I got Credence Clearwater Rival and BeeGee 8-tracks.

I got a really nice pen in a wedding about 10 years ago and I still use it daily. I can't believe I have kept up with it that long.

Did it come with the matchbook to wedge under the tape or was that sold separately?
Nobody really needs another "tool" that will go into a drawer unused or once used. Buy your groomsmen tickets to a Pokes game. Then you have an excuse to party with them another time. It'll cost the same as some POC from Sharper Image, but they'll enjoy it much more.

You'd have to know some of my son's college buds to see the humor, but he bought glass shot glass checker/chess sets. Pretty cool actually.

Those are some cool ideas. That shot chess game would've came in handy about 15 yrs ago! LOL
What is the general opinion about branding irons with the groom's initials?
