Is this weekend. I can get an over priced ticket, but I need to do it soon. (like tomorrow)
I dont know what day I should get tickets for. Here is the probable pitchers.

Thursday, July 3
BOS Jon Lester, LHP (6-3, 3.48)
NYY Andy Pettitte, LHP (9-5, 3.98)

Friday, July 4
BOS Josh Beckett, RHP (7-5, 3.65)
NYY Darrell Rasner, RHP (4-6, 4.42)

Saturday, July 5
BOS Justin Masterson, RHP (4-2, 3.75)
NYY Mike Mussina, RHP (10-6, 3.87)

Sunday, July 6
BOS Tim Wakefield, RHP (5-6, 3.72)
NYY To be announced

Does anyone have any suggestion? The Sox will be back one last time in August for the final time in Yankee Stadium, but that is during the week, so i am not going to hold out.

The tickets will be like the top of the top tier or bleachers at YS, so i wont be able to see much any way.

But, I was just wanting to know which game you all think would be the best for me to go to.

Thank you much!

hey the Texas Ranger just took their 2nd win in NY, don't think Boston will have any problems, not the same Yankees

Save your money until the real Sox come to town.

I'm a huge Red Sox fan, and as far as matchups go, I'd probably pick either Lester vs. Pettite, or Masterson vs. Mussina. Both those are decent pitching matchups, and you get a chance to see the Yankee's veteran arms go against Boston's young studs.

Went to the Yankees Sox series the weekend of 9-11 in NY. What a trip that was! Seats were third base side about 20 rows up! Paid a pretty penny for them, but well worth it.

Lately, they haven't been the best team but they certainly are the wealthiest! ;)

I would wait til the first place and owners of the best record in baseball come to town. and when they do catch the game that Garza starts.

Go for Lester-Pettite. Easily the sexiest pitching match-up of the series.

Go Sox!

Tampa Bay comes right after Boston and in September. I dont know the pitching schedule for them, but it would be a good game too. I use to love the Devil Rays. I will wait till later to decide about those tickets. I for them, I'll try to go to yankee stadium to get tickets, instead of through stubhub. (the Yankee buying ticket website sucks).

Thanks all for the input. I'll now see what I can get

I agree that's the sexiest match-up. I just have a fondness for knuckleballers. Wakefield would be my choice, always.

I went tonight, and the pitching (especially Pettitte) was not very sexy. But i was a bleacher creature, and that atmosphere was amazing! I may not go to another one of the Red Sox games unless i find really cheap tix. I want to get into the actual stadium (bleachers are not connected) so i can see the memorial and everything. But thanks again for your help and suggestions. I will keep my eyes out for white sox and tampa bay tix.
