Why do I post here?

I was asked this question by a member of this board at the end of 'The Star Spangled Banner' (http://www.ostatesports.com/community/showthread.php?t=3127)thread.

To be honest I really don't know why I continue to post here. The pluses really don't outweigh the negatives much for me anymore.

Posting on sports boards was a new experience for me. It started a little over 17 months ago for the normal reasons. I wanted to be better informed, to share thoughts and discuss them with others whom I had a common interest. I thought it would be a challenge and some fun. It was all of these, but there was the unexpected and a high degree of it.

Verb, thanks for inviting me to your little group, but I really believe there is not much support for me to post here anymore. If there is that’s fine, but I am again finding that it is really not worth the repeated hassle from the dark side of a few.

I now believe I will be able to take that needed vacation that I thought I could take before and couldn't.

Ya, I am not necessarily the most liked or popular person. There are not too many supporters of my viewpoints here. But I have no problem with the little arguments and debates that go on here. I hope that at least some people may question their own beliefs and their own thought, or can for at least a moment see something from a different light. So that they may not be sheep, and not follow blindly. That they become inspired to do a little research, and look stuff up on their own.
I mean, you right wing nuts on this board sometimes do have valid arguments and ideas. I know that some of the things that have been argued here had me reevaluate my own stances, and sometimes even slightly modify them.
I mean, I can think of maybe 3 of us lefties that post semi often, and there are a lot more righties on here that have no problem trying to rip us a new one. But that doesnt stop me from posting. It doesnt bother me that I get called names and made fun of. For me, that is a part of the game. Granted, there are some pretty low blows on occasion that i am not afraid to call people out on.
So whether or not you decide to stop, that is your own call. Do what is best for you. But just so you know, I wont pull punches if you decide to keep posting. I will stand my ground and talk some sense into you rightwingers
