ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Forward Ekpe Udoh is leaving Michigan after two seasons but has yet to decide to which school he will transfer.

Coach John Beilein announced the move in a release Monday and said he will miss Udoh "as a person and as a player."

Udoh said it was a "very difficult decision" but isn't giving details on the reasons behind the move. Michigan was 10-22 last season, Beilein's first as coach of the Wolverines.

Udoh made 31 starts over his two seasons and averaged 5.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in 67 games.

Do we have enough scholly's open to get him to come to Stillwater?

Well we are likely not going to take Dee Proby now so that opens up on spot. On top of that I am pretty sure we have one other opening that they wanted to put Patillo into (before he went to UO). Plus now we may have another scholly open up with the indefinite suspension of Harris. So the answer is yeah we have a scholly for him...

Didn't Proby average 9 points a game? Udoh is averaging 5.5. What makes him more special than Proby? Just asking.

Interesting, other than Proby already has a scholarship... and a signed LOI.

They can't pull it from him if he wants to come, and qualifies. (I don't think).

Well you are correct Cali but apparently Dee was told he would not fit into Fords style of play and that he has a scholly but would not likely see the court. I heard they are trying to find him another school to go to.

I have been thinking the same thing. I know a change in staff can give a student athlete an opportunity to be released from his commitment but I have not heard it the other way around -- a staff has the opportunity to turn down a committed recruit.
