I dont know how you guys fell about this issue but today Bear's runningback Cedric Benson was arrested for boating while intoxicated and had to pepper sprayed for resisting arrest. His bond was set at 14,500 dollars. the info is on the front page of the yahoo website if interested.

next we have Redskins tightend Fred Davis who failed to show up for practice so the coach sent security offficials to find him and apparantly he over slept.

Sorry but its time for a rant , you know I would love to have the opportunity to earn the kind of money these clowns are paid the list of nfl knuckleheads is growing ,despite the commish 's get tough policy . pro baseball and pro baksketball isnt having these problems escalating like the nfl.

my opinion on this is Goodell should watch the police wires and call all of the clowns into his office and suspend them for a year for their fist offense .
I wished that i could be in chage of the discipline because this crap would come to a end. i think these problems have stemmed from high schools and their pampering of the athletes.

here is what should be occurring.
1. Goddell should call all the nfl owners and lay down the law and get
the owners to use tougher messures.

2. all of these athletes that are busted should be forced into treatment and be made to join a chain gang picking up trash along the highways .

3. society needs to clean up its act as well because I 've had it with the supidity of officers and priest and other profesionals committing some of the crimes .

4 all the major sports should have a discipline council that lays down the law and the nfl should apoint a deputy commisioner to head the council.

ok i am done ranting ; does anyone think athletes and celebrities need to be hammered a little harder ?

A lot of thugs play football. Thugs get arrested if you give them enough time to show their true colors.

Acefin... good post.. I think this is the first one that I could actually read...

I agree with you they do need to act even better than the average citizen because of their "superstar" status and because kids do look up too them .... if they say that is unfair then oh well... quit and give me the money... They can watch me all they want for 4 mill a year... :party-smiley-018:

It's a job that you don't necessarily have to be educated, responsible, mature, or well-mannered to do. If you give a bunch of guys that lack these traits the spotlight and millions of dollars, what do you expect?
