OSU in Thanksgiving hoops tournament: Oklahoma State will be among the eight basketball teams that play in the Old Spice Classic in Orlando over Thanksgiving weekend. Organizers say that other teams in the 3-day tournament at the Walt Disney World Resort include Georgetown, Gonzaga, Maryland, Michigan State, Siena, Tennessee and Wichita State.

Talk about a tough test pretty early...

I wished it was over Christmas instead of Thanksgiving. We are going to be at Disney World for Christmas next year.

We'll be at DisneyWorld during Thanksgiving, and will be going to this tournament. Pistol Pete and Mickey Mouse together!

The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is one of the best times to go all year. The weather is great. The crowds are some of the smallest all year (it's officially part of their off-season rates for resorts, etc.). They start their Christmas shows, festivities, parades the day after Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to it.

Christmas to New Year's eve is one of their craziest, busiest times.

Are you saying the week of Dec 20 through Dec 26 is going to be crazy?

can't be harder than having to be in the Big 12 ... so it will be a good early gauge on how prepared and well coached they are ... and if they can compete at a high level....

Nothing gained from playing teams like Lower Mississippi Tech

No. The period of time between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day will be very good. One of their slower periods.

It will get progressively busier the closer you get to Christmas day. December 26 will likely be one of their busiest days of the year. If you're getting a multiday parkhopper pass for fewer days than you'll actually be there, I'd do my park stuff the first of that week and other stuff you might be interested in from Christmas Eve on.

Some of my family went to disney world last Christmas, they vowed "never again!"

They are vacation club members so they go every year, but this was the first time ever at Christmas. They said it was absolutely packed!!!

I want to go the week after Thanksgiving, since is so slow.

But Mrs BBB has that whole teaching thing.

Damn kids.
