Epke Udoh rumored to be in Stillwater

Word is this former teammate of Obi's at Santa Fe is wanting to transfer out of Michigan. He really wanted to come to OSU when Obi did, but Sean wouldn't recruit him(went for bigger fish). I loved the guy at the time, and he proved to be a good player at Michigan. He is 6-10/11 230 and averaged 3 blocks a game last year. Not a huge scoring threat, but he is a big guy that would fit the Ford system.

He will be a Jr next year as Obi; if he xfers he will have to sit out a year which means he wouldn't be able to play with Obi until Obi's Sr year. Unless he likes OSU more than Obi, I don't see it, but we are a very young team.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. We could use an inside defensive presence. His shotblocking ability would be great to have.

Udoh has loved OSU since he was in HS. It wouldn't be just for Obi. Santa Fe also brings lots of other normal students to Stillwater... so being close to home would be a draw too.

According to rumors, Udoh spends more time on campus than most students. Maybe they are true.
