Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Larry Fedora is in Mississippi this afternoon apparently to interview for the Southern Mississippi head coaching position.
The Hattiesburg (Miss.) American newspaper is reporting on its Web site that Fedora stepped off a plane at Hessler Noble Field in Laurel, Miss., at 11 a.m. today with Southern Miss athletic director Richard Giannini.
A flight left for Stillwater this morning, and later arrived in Laurel, Miss., with Fedora and Giannini.
Fedora is viewed as the one of the leading candidates, and possibly the favorite, to replace Jeff Bower as the Golden Eagles' head coach. Bower resigned under pressure last week.
Fedora, who is completing his third year as OSU's offensive coordinator, had a preliminary interview with Giannini earlier this week. Giannini has told Mississippi media outlets that he wanted to interview at least three finalists before making a decision by the middle of next week at the latest.
Fedora's wife, Christi, also made the trip.

good.
hopefully fedora leaving will expedite gundy's departure from his head coach position.
once fedora goes, there goes oSu's offense along with him...then that leaves us with just 'defense'...*shudder*

gr,
You obviously are an idiot. Yeah, maybe we can hire another coach like Les Miles who will leave on the first plane out. I hope Fedora stays, but can't blame him if he goes. Its a head coaching opportunity. This means that Gundy is making the right hires if people are coming after our assistants. Good days are ahead for OSU.

I heard if Fedora leaves that Mike is gonna bring in his brother Cale to run the offense.....dark days loom for OSU!!
4. 12/7/2007 9:32:11 PM, Bill Clay, College Station
Ron, he's bringing in Bill Clay to run a totally new offense, the 4-2-5.

I'm bored, so I decided to be Bill Clay.:D
