I had a grandaughter born last night! Emma, our newest little Cowgirl, was born by emergency C section around 9 pm last night in McKinney Texas. She is the first child of our youngest daughter Valerie.

They actually JUST moved to Texas from Bethel Alaska...so i'm betting they don't mind the warm texas weather.. ;)

Now that part of Alaska is really remote. I spent two years in Alaska as an LT in the Army. Although I was not stationed there, I have been there during the winter. Can you see that little red dot? That's Bethel.

Legal...really remote. My stepdaughter Holly was 3rd in charge of YK there. Huge medical company. Valerie (the one with the new baby) moved there to be near her sister, and make a TON of money. She was in charge of payroll. Holly left to come back home in March, and Val left as well.
