Tell me about this woot thing. What is it, a bidding thing?
I'm to tired to read about it, but would like to know more.

I've bought stuff off there before.
My understanding is that they buy closeouts, overstock, etc. (generally tech related items, but sometimes other stuff) and sell it below market price. Usually, it's one item per day (and just until that particular item sells out), but occasionally they have "Woot-Offs", in which a new item is introduced every hour or so.

It is a place that sells things below market price and has a set shipping amount at $5 per order...like 918 said, they generally buy closeouts and overstock and then resell them with a set shipping amount...a Woot-off is when they have numerous items throughout the day...they'll leave each item up until it sells out and them move on to the next item...
Normally, though, the have one item up each day for purchase....
EDIT: so I went to check what today's item was, and it's in a Woot-off....so check it out...you'll have to refresh to find out when items are sold out...some sell really quickly, while others take a little longer...

Ever buy a "Bag of Crap"?
Every time I try and get a "Bag of Crap" on a Woot Off, I'm too late...those sell out ridiculously fast....

And now would be time to check for the funny items...because it's the Roomba, the dreaded Woot killer....but we'll see how long this lasts....they generally take a while, though....
There's already around 300 comments, I believe...

Yeah...it's ridiculous how often they have Roombas on there...of course, this time, they came with a timing remote (or something like that), so it was some sort of addition to the traditional Roomba...but still....
haha speaking of woot killers...

Yeah...I'm bummed I didn't get one of those 22-piece sets that were $1.99....I put in an order but had to change my address, so it took me a little extra time, and by the time my order went through, it was sold out....

That would've come in handy in the future, or it could've been a great cheap Christmas gift...I moved in August and haven't really taken part in a Woot Off since then, so I hadn't changed my info yet, so naturally I wound up a little late to the party....
And it's looking like the scooters might be going a little quicker than I expected....

This radar detector is looking like a Woot Killer...they've already had a better radar detector earlier, so this is kind of overkill...going really, really slow...
