Why are you requiring me to sign in every time i visit?
Yes i was a monitor for Ryno ostate.com and another previous sport board before that for Ryno a good friend. Should that matter?
Its irksome to have to sign in unless you want to respond a post.

That's just because you're old!

Hi WrestlingJunkie. There's an easy way around this. If you're on your home or office computer, make sure to click on the "Remember Me" button (see picture below) on the main login screen. Checking that box will keep you logged in all the time, until you hit the logout button.
When you leave the site, don't click logout (unless you're using a public computer or if other people use your computer frequently), just close the browser window.

Don't listen to him Bill, it's cause you're old. :D When I get home I'm going to post the picture I took of you at the Big 12 wrestling tourney.

Boone Pickens has ordered Holder to order ostatesports.com to hassle you whenever possible. He despises wrestlers and their cauliflour ears.

I don't think your association with Ryno has anything to do with it.. I still get the login prompt every time I visit too, so I doubt it's anything personal.

When I leave and come back (just started doing this today), all posts I have previously read come back bold as if I hadn't read them. What's up with that?

Hmmm...I have that problem when I check from two different machines. If I read some thread on my work machine, then go home and check it there, they show as unread. But it usually doesn't happen on the same machine. Just out of curiosity, do you (FP) login everytime or do you keep the box I mentioned above checked?

I stay logged in, and I have the same problem. Same machine.

I check the box to recognize me when I come back on. Always use the same machine.....and it just started doing this today for the first time.

I think not clicking Log Out will fix the logging in every time thing, but the not showing the posts as read is a problem with the Vbulletin software. I'm not sure why it does it, but every forum I frequent that uses this software has the same issue. I've just learned to live with it. No other forum software I've encountered has that issue.

Andy is by far the best coder we have and he is looking into it.
I think its just a matter of time before he gets it fixed.

Mmm, beer.
We're looking into changing a setting that will make the read/unread feature work more consistently. I just need to do a bit of testing on it before unleashing it.

Ok, for anyone else where this is happening.......I am not an IT guy in the slightest, but by trial and error have figured out how to prevent it. If you have spy/bot/adware software....or even your browser protecting you real time from cookies, disable that. Then, log off and back on when you come back to the site. should fix it.

Arrgh!!!!!!!!! Just after I posted that, I found posts going back WEEKS that have no new posts. I give up
If the answer is a larger and faster server, I'll spring for it. Heaven knows I've already done that once and I think the money was blown at Texas Hold'em in an Indian Casino (if you catch my drift)

How about a link on "User CP" that allows you to "Mark all posts read" and then start over.
this is killing me too, and I'm not that old.

Guys!
It will get ironed out! Andy is no longer a mod on the board, so we just have to wait for our new guy to get it fixed. Verb and i have paid him to do numerous things, and that's one of them.
I don't know how to fix it, or i would have already. I'm doing the best i can.

Don't sweat it. The board is here, and that's the important part. The glitches just aren't that important to me. I'm sure they will get worked out.

For everyone's information, if you want to clear manually, you don't have to go back to the beginning, just the beginning of April. Not to bad, took me less than 5 minutes.
