Finally!! Surgery Thursday Morning!!!!!

Ok Guys and girls I am going to be gone for a little while and I expect some help in trying to keep JimBob in check. Surgery is on April 3rd and the expected stay in the hospital could be up to 9 days. And until that time I am going to be like a one-legged frog in the middle of a freeway, I have so much to do.

I am totally at peace with the fact that after surgery I will probably walk with a limp for the rest of my life. I am totally at peace with the fact I will be missing a lot of the muscles in my lower right leg and will have a scar from hell about 14-16 inches long. None of that bothers me in that I have come to terms with it. What I am not a peace with is that I will not be able to monitor this board for a day or two or three and you just never know what kind of trouble JimBob and the poodle can get into. I’ll take my laptop and log in when I can.

But I would ask that if y’all don’t mind at about 8:00 AM on the 3rd (Thursday) you throw up a little prayer asking the Lord’s guidance for the surgeon and that he gets all of this #&!##*% malignant tumor and they don’t have to come back later and just take the leg. Again someone keep an eye on JimBob and probably Wyoming also. You know how they can get. :rollseyes::rollseyes:

Oh and don’t talk about anything important until I get back.

I talked to him last night. He's got a couple more days of radiation left. I thought he might get back online last night after they stuck a couple pints of blood into him, so I held off on commenting to allow him to do so.

Obviously, he's not going to at the moment!

What a truly nice guy! I bet we talked for at least 20 minutes. He was in good spirits and he's a fighter, both of which are critical elements for recovery.
