What do you think? Can our defense slow down their rushing attack? Can our OL hold back their DL? I have a feeling Weeden is going to see lots of pressure all day.

We're the best offense they've seen all year. If we can stay balanced between the run and the pass and not turn the ball over 4+ times we can definitely score more points than these guys. If we get up on them like we did Tech, they do not have the offensive fire power to make a come back!!!!!

Stack the box and make them beat us passing. Let it turn into a shoot out, and I will take our offensive weapons over theirs.

Reversal of the October 15, 1988 game...O-State 63 NU 42. I would imagine it would be too much to expect that we would be up 35-0 at the end of the 1st qtr, though.

I remember seeing this one on a huge screen in Gallagher Hall (before it was GIA) with my dad, and CoachOSU (he was 6 at the time).

Oh man... I still remember that game. We spotted them 35 points in the first quarter. Barry had 4 TDs and 189 yards.

From what I've read, it's their defensive back 7 that are so "fearsome".

I guess the question is "how long" can our OLine hold them if the guys are initially covered? This is going to be a big test for Weeden to very quickly find the open target and not try to lock onto a receiver.

Also, as someone else stated, NU is 2nd in the country in fumbles (23), losing 8, with only GaTech (another option team) having more fumbles.

Conversely, Weeden has thrown 2 picks in each of the last 3 games.

This should be a very interesting game.

Keep in mind that although Nebraska has improved since Peeweenie took over, this is still not your grandpa's team. Don't forget that most of the players on this team have not lost to the big red, and my not even remember the years OSU struggled against them. Afterall, we have won 3 of the last 4 games. Also, realize that Nebraska is 5-5 in October under BP, and has lost back to back games in October the past two years.

None of this means we will win...just that we shouldn't think that this is Tom Osborne's team coming to Stillwater.

I hear you, orangeo. Big 8 me if afraid of the big bad Cornhuskers. It's a new era. YES! We took one monkey off our back last week with the win over Tech. Maybe we can get another win over NU this week...
