That stupid little weed that has the purple flowers in tubes. We used to pull em off as kids. It is everywhere.

What is it?

You talking about that purple clover?

It's probably Henbit. They say when it gets warmer it will die off but I have an entire acre of it.

I'm guessing you're talking about honeysuckle?

That's it. Hell I've got it all over the place. I thought it was some sort of flowering clover. A broadleaf killer does it in pretty well.

I've been in my house for almost 6 years now. Up until the past year, I had relatively few weeds. All the sudden, I have an explosion of chickweed/mouse ear:

Henbit is so easy to pull up, but chickweed intertwines itself in the grass, so if you pull it, you can also pull some grass out. Bah. Like Jake says, a broadleaf weed killer does a pretty good job on these (like Ortho Weed b Gone) without killing your grass, too.

You should get out more. Seriously.

There are doctors that can help you with that.

Better lawns and gardens thru the use of very harsh chemicals!

That's what I'm talking about!! :)

Anyway, when the bermuda starts to green, it will start to die.

That's some funny $hit right there.

Thank you, fifrat, shill123 and jake, that's it - henbit.

I looked up an OSU Extension page on weeds and it said to use 2,4-D on it (basically broadleaf killer as jake suggested).
