Anyone hear Holder on the 6 pm news?

KOCO ran a clip where Holder was asked about Sean. Holder said all evaluations would be made, but that Sean had a three year contract.

Holder's comment makes it sound like Sean may be getting another year.

Actually when you look at everything Holder said it is really interesting. Here is the quote:

"That will be dealt with in due time. He's under contract. He's got three years left on it. So I'll leave it at that, for today."

Why even say that last part? It sure looks like to me he is saying that Sean is not going to be around long....

no matter what the outcome, i am very unhappy with the way the AD has dealt with situation. i feel it is harming our program, recruiting, etc. i also feel sean should be given the same 5 year window requested by us to give to gundy.

I agree that the way Holder is handling it (rather NOT handling it) has some negative ramifations... but IMO, BB doesn't take as long to get your players in and get them trained as does football simply becasue of the recruiting restrictions in football... so BB should get AT LEAST 3 years and FB at least 4... by then you can pretty much tell which direction things are going.

In FB you can only bring in 25 players, about 1/4th of the team. In BB in can bring in a full 8 man rotation of starters and subs, but it still takes a year or so for those new guys to learn the system and learn to work together (which is about where we are right now with both sports).
