I take it that he will stir or piss in any pot of opportunity; I think he is one of the media that piled on Gundy after the rant and has kept going since then.

Wow! No reason for that level of anger - but I suppose it caters to some readers. Typically it should be difficult to find that level of angry disappointment outside of Sooner message boards and the OKC paper online.

I agree with the message, however a writer calling out college athletes as stupid is quite petty, IMO.

I only read it once a couple days ago -- but it ought to be possible to say they played stupidly without saying they are stupid. Not sure if he made that distinction, but I did with my kids all the time. "You are smarter than that..." sort of thing.

OTOH he seems to be completely incapable of putting "The Rant" and the attack on Jenni-Oh and the media in general behind him -- in spite of the fact that Mike and Jenni both appear to have moved on. And, Mr. Doyel, Mike still has a job and is increasingly respected, in spite of the amazing power of the media.
