Anybody roadtripping to the big easy? I really want to go atleast for the Sat game. I think Kevin and I might head down Friday afternoon sometime.:)

I am looking at flights, hotels, etc. right now as we are thinking about making the trip. Not terrible, but not cheap either. I hope it works out...

good thing about New Orleans... is that you have lots of extra activities outside of watching basketball to do, so you can make a mini-vacation out of going to see the game.

The 3D Theater close to the French Quarter (on the river) is cool and walking Burbon Street (with the old French style shops and buildings) in nice during the day. Eating Cajun/ Creole food is always a must (I suggest Cafe Du Monde for some Beignets- always the dad's and my favorite)

So, it is worth a trip down there and of course the game. If you like the nightlife, then along with Las Vegas it is one of the best. Of course and the beer. :food-smiley-004:

Robert Allen is talking about a trip they are planning with a Sleeper Bus. They want to have a full bus booked by tomorrow or they wont be able to do it. Call Pat at: 377-5325

I think they said $700 each. That includes transportation, hotel, all session tickets (4 days). I think meals while traveling are provided.

Sounds like a blast. Wish I could swing it.

The bus trip sounds like a blast, but they are leaving Friday morning and returning late Tuesday night. I don't think I can manage that much time off work. Especially since I will be taking off a couple days next week for the final four.:)

I dont think so.

He was just promoting it for the guy who has been setting up the Cowgirls caravan bus trips this season.

I think they have taken them to Kansas, Baylor & A&M.
They tried to get one for last weekend, but I dont think they had enough people sign up.

We're going, and we were able to swing it for less than I thought. That I am flying out of Austin helps as tickets from OKC were kinda high this morning.

how about some suggestions of things to do/places to eat/attractions while there.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

PS: Any areas that are a must see? Any to avoid?
