That young man saved our hide today, not once, but two different times.

Pretty good day's work for a freshman.

Picture #7 shows Hedgepeth batting away a touchdown in the endzone. Later he helped force that next to last fumble that helped save our game.

The look on Gundy's face in #14 is hilarious.

Yeah I was cracking up at that last night.

Funny thing is, you know there were more they could have used. They would have never posted a pic like that of the visor.

His fist is clinched pretty tight like he wants to knock the Ref's head off. And I don't blame him, that was a complete screw job on the penalty.

You don't stop the play on an illegal substitution. It was a potential big gain for us, and the idiot officials hosed us.

I came away with a bad feeling about the officiating of that game. It seemed really inept at best, and hostile at worst.

You're not the only one that felt that way. It seemed as though anytime we had a big played a late flag would come in and call it back. It happened on KH's TD return, Justin Gilbert broke a punt return and they through a flag.

KH's was odd to me because the official who threw the flag was standing around the 50yard line, threw his flag around the 35yard line, but the penalty was assessed at the 20 and took us back to our 10. That official must've had some eagle vision!!!!

Hedgepeth got some props from the DOK today, too:

Also, if you checked out Roverto's link to Devin's profile, he is a SMART kid! (Like National Honor Society smart.) I really look forward to seeing him develop as a player!

My face probably looked a lot like that too!!!! The fans were getting pretty fed up with the ticky/tack flags they were throwing!!

Gundy needs to have that fire in his belly, like a lot of people on this board have been asking for!!! He showed it in this game and after he got all over those refs, they weren't so quick to throw their flags!!

Way to go Mike!!!! Let's see that some more!!

Looks like I wasn't the only one who thought highly of Mr. Hedgepeth last Saturday. This article has some great things to say about him. Of note: he never made lower than a A in high school. Wow.
