How much does trash service from the city cost if you live in a house? I live in an apartment and pay $18.00 dollars a month to throw away 2-3 bags of trash.

do they pick it up, or do you take it out your self?

The 10 unit apartment has a dumpster.

I think that mine costs the same because I live here in Stillwater...but my thing with the trash people is that they will only take 5 bags per time they collect and they won't take anything that is not in a bag for any reason. During move in week I was upset because we had more than normal amount of trash and it took my house about a month to catch up and it was gross!!!

During move in week I was upset because we had more than normal amount of trash and it took my house about a month to catch up and it was gross!!!

I have that problem every spring when I scalp the yard. I get 15 to 20 bags of grass. I ended up asking my neighbors if I could put my trash on their curbs. Most didn't care as long as they didn't have many bags. Oh, and don't line up your trash bags up your driveway. I found out if a trash bag is more than a couple of feet from the curb they won't take them. So many rules.

I am not sure but I think the trash service is contracted out to Davis Sanitation. They are a bunch of Jerks. I was cleaning out a rent house so I took some trash cans and filled them up. mostly with cleaning trash like cleaning bottles and junk like old renters mini blinds trash that comes form painting. they told me they can't take the trash because I don't live there or own the house. Long story short I walk out to the truck and dumped the trash in the back for them.

They act like they are afraid of working around trash.
