However...... as much grief as my OU buddies have given me for us requiring a season ticket purchase due to the Bedlam blackout, this article says.....

Oklahoma-Texas, technically a home game for Oklahoma this year, requires a $394 Sooners season ticket, $1,300 donation to Oklahoma and $110 ticket to the game -- a total of $1,804.

Interesting read and ammunition next time someone complains about Holder's Bedlam strategy. As OU/Tex is an OU home game, and it requires over 1,800, plenty of fodder right back at them........

The thing is, the face value for bedlam is totally imaginary. Add up the face value of your tickets and it has also been more than I paid for my season tickets. So since bedlam only comes as a package with season tickets, it's actually not as expensive as the face value says.

I agree Wicker. The point I was really trying to make is the absolute blasphemy that Holder has taken (mostly from Goon fans) for his strategic stance on requiring a season ticket purchase for the marquee game........when compared to OU's stance that in order to buy a RRS ticket you have to pony up $1,800. Next time one of'em bithches about our season ticket purchase policy, have this in your back pocket.

And if their response is....But the RRS is a hot commodity sold out venue of a rivalry game....simply say "Exactly"

I don't care what ou fans think. I will just flat out tell them I like the policy because it keeps them out of our stadium. :)

It has your posse donation included in the ticket price.

That's great info Florida, I get beat up on this all the time. I thought it was supply / demand, but hey...that's just me!

Bottom line, like Holder or not, the strategy works.

I make no posse donation for football. I've always sat in non donor seating and the total face value of my tickets has always been more than what I paid. It's significantly more in the west end zone. I bought a four pack and I think I only paid about 55% of what the face value of my tickets is.

That is weird.

Ours adds up to the season ticket price plus posse donation.

Maybe you should call the ticket office and let them know you arent paying near enough! :D
