View Full Version : Turns out I know a reality show contestant

So I was watching Here Come the Newlyweds with my wife a couple weeks ago, and while I was watching it, I couldn't help shake the feeling that I had seen one of the guys (Cody Freis for those who watch the show) somewhere before. And the more I thought about it, the more I was sure I met him at OSU.

So when the show came on again this weekend, I called one of my friends and asked him about it too. It turns out, I have played drinking games with the guy while we were both at OSU at a mutual friend's house.

It had been bugging me all week, so I was glad to know that I wasn't crazy and had actually met the guy. Plus, he went to OSU, so I've got someone to root for now.

That's cool. I'm not familiar with the show. Is it something in the vein of the "Newlywed Show", where they just ask the folks hokie questions about each other?

One of my girlfriend's coworkers (and his wife) was on that weight loss reality show (Biggest Loser, I think was the name). It's weird seeing people on tv who you've met.

Yes he's definitely the whipped one. He needs to be more assertive, poor guy.

No, it's a contest style thing where a couple is voted off each week. There are a couple competitions each week that determine immunity and increasing the money won at the end. Your standard reality show fare.

I do not like the Freis' at all. They get on my nerves so bad. I think the show is pretty cool overall. It really test how much you pay attention to your spouse.

Dude!!! I remember Cody too. During College he dated this girl from Choctaw named Natalie who I worked with at Edmon Low Library. She was one of my sister's best friends in Jr. High. Small world. Hey wait a minute!?! The night you got into the drinking game with Cody, was that the same night James made that 'special' drink?
