Who would you go with?
I personally don't care if we are a stepping stone for a better program. That would be a decision based on fear instead of hope. I would perfer to lean toward hope.
If people want your head coach, that's a good thing!
With that being said...
Mike Montgomery-Stanford Asst. AD
John Calipari-Memphis
Ernie Kent-Oregon
Tom Crean-Marquette
Kevin Stallings-Vanderbilt
Kevin O'Neill-Arizona Interim Coach
Tony Bennett-Wash St.
Bob McKillop-Davidson
Seth Greenberg-Virgina Tech
Sean Miller-Xavier
Jamie Dixon-Pitt
Lon Krueger-UNLV
Steve Alford-New Mexico
Tom Izzo- Michigan State
Chris Lowery-Southern Illinois
and NO, Sean isn't gone yet as of 845 AM PST 3/19/08

Of those on your list, my first choice would be Callipari.
And, Stallings seems to be doing a very good job at Vandy.
Of course, my choice candidate would be Bill Self.
It would be nice to throw enough money at Coach K to lure him from Duke, but you have to be smoking some strong stuff to think that would ever happen. But hey, doesnt hurt to dream.
Cripes. It's like we're vultures circling the body. Only he's not even dead yet.

At least Lewis hasn't started another "Pay Mike Gundy $2 Million p/Year" thread here yet.

Nobody is being a vulture........
There is a big IF on the thread title.
Nobody has called for Sean to be fired. Nobody has made personal attacks.
I would rather Sean be leading us to the NCAA's than discuss this. But thats not the case right now. Discussion is what a message board is about. Everyone is entitle to their opinion whether we agree or not. As long as those opinions and statements do not cross the line it will be tolerated.
Disagreeing is not crossing the line. We can all discuss this as adults.

I'm afraid to even look, today.

IF we need a new coach.....
My choice would be Rick Majerus. He has the stability and proven track record as a head coach, plus St.Louis Archdiocese is not happy with him and the relationship is on the rocks. With this in mind he would not be a reach.
But as been said by many including myself, we have a head coach.
