Below is a link to an excellent Colin Cowhard, seven minute interview with Mack Brown which happened yesterday. It is well worth the seven minutes.

Things said in this interview are -
1) Any Texas player that wants to transfer will be given a full release and can even go to any Big-12 rival.
2) The Big-12 is good for a minumum of 5 yeas and probably 10 years. He does admit that in 10 years anything could happen.
3) Texas almost went to the PAC-10 when the Big-12 was formed but didn't.
4) Texas has a copy of the bill-of-sales for every car that his players drive. If some player shows up in a new car, he is called in and Texas wants a copy of all the documents. They also require copies of hotel receipts , etc. when their players travel.
5) All season ticket holders are sent information on NCAA compliance. They are asked to notify Texas immediately if some Booster starts offering players or potential players anything. Texas then calls the booster and tells him or her to back-off.
Texas seems to really be applying Institutional Control whcih brings up a few questions. Are OSU season ticket holders sent any compliance information? Do we check out purchase/rental details of all our players cars?
