KOCO-5 photojournalist Richard "Jet" Jackson, 61, died Sunday night after a battle with lung cancer

KOCO-5 photojournalist Richard "Jet" Jackson died Sunday night after a battle with lung cancer. Jackson, 61, had worked almost 37 years with the station.
Although Jackson was rarely seen on air, he often talked with criminals during "perp" walks and had developed a good relationship with law enforcement agencies.
"His colleagues and competitors alike held a deep respect for Jet and his ability to get the story," KOCO news director Stephanie Croswait said. "Jet had an enduring passion for serving the viewers, and for being the best."
Jackson's hobbies included fishing and following Oklahoma State University football.
