I have the Nexus One, and there aren't any osu apps. Somemone on rivals made a beautiful widget OSU theme.

Did you just get a android mike?

I got the MyTouch 3g Slide.

Amazing little phone; I never had a smart phone before.

What's a widget? Is that for Droid?

A widget are the things that are on your home screen, like the weather, clock, the google search bar. if you long tap (keep your finger on the home screen) you will see the option to look at your widgets.

http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications

That is a good web site to browse through all the apps. You can even download a barcode scanner and use it on the web page, and it will take you there on your phone.

Let me know what you expect to get out of your phone, and I'll find you some cool apps/widgets.

Mine came preloaded with a bunch, to include barcode scanner, google maps, twitter, pdf viewer, stocks, weather, youtube, plus all the generic mp3 store and droid market and gmail and stuff like that. I have downloaded a couple WoW apps and a Family soundboard "Butt Scratchers! Get your Butt Scratchers!", and a flashlight app. It also has apps to just push a button and see your account info, usages, plan, balance, history, etc.

All I need is an OSU app now.

Every time I see the title of this thread, I think it says "android apes."

Cue Dr. Zaius and Cornelius.

What do you think of it? I'm also with T-Mobile and I'll be eligible for an upgrade soon. I have a BlackBerry Curve, but I am considering getting a 'Droid phone for my next one unless BlackBerry releases a decent slider phone between now and then. My two picks for the 'Droid phone would be that one or the new Garminphone.

So far, I absolutely love it. I have had the same phone for about 3 years and finally decided to upgrade. The apps are much more plentiful than I imagined and the internet is the real internet. I get my hotmail direct to it and it is, for the most part, extremely easy to use. The only negative I have found so far is the video playback isn't all that, but if you turn it down to low res it works just fine (which it should probably be anyway). I had put off getting a nice data phone for years in large part due to where I was and that TMobile hasn't had one that competed with the iPhone. When I found out we are going to be in CSprings soon and they have full data coverage, plus the new Droid phones rival and even surpass the iPhones in many ways, I went ahead. Even with the crappy coverage out here, the TMobile web (when I am not on my wifi at home) is faster than dial up (not by much but still better than I envisioned).

I've been with TMobile since '98 and my wife actually used my last upgrade with the understanding I would use hers when I wanted to get a phone. Unfortunately with the new dataphones, you can't use someone else's upgrade because it is tied to the number. I talked with them on the phone and since I only had 15 months the phone would cost me an extra 100 bucks, which I wasn't going to do. They ended up waiving it, so I got the phone at the full discount and my wife still got to keep all her upgrade months. They also put us on a shared plan (because I never use all my minutes and my wife goes over all the time) for about 10 bucks less than the two seperate plans we had been on, and pretty much ensures that we won't go over; plus it has free mobile to mobile which is her and I and her mom and my folks, so further ensuring our chargable usage goes down.

Very pleased with the phone and TMobile right now. I've heard people complain about them a bunch, but in over 10 years I have never had a complaint that didn't get resolved in my favor with them.

I have 8 months or so until I qualify ... maybe I can get that upgrade. The wife doesn't want to have me sign a new contract, but I'm wanting a phone that has a decent amount of memory (my Curve has 64MB, which makes it very difficult to upload all the apps I would really like to have on it).

The Android store is my biggest reason for wanting to move to those phones, while the ease in syncing contacts, calendar entries, etc. from my work PC makes me want to stay with BlackBeyry.
