If I am reading the standings right the Pokes were eliminated from post season play last night. Sad day for a proud program!

They had to sweep Baylor to make tge Big 12 Tourney.

2 years in a row now they have missed it.

It is Pathetic.

And I was told this year people thought FA was doing a swell job.

Frank is/was in charge...the fault/problems are all on his watch. Time for change don't you guys think?:fail:

Except the problem with scholarships is not Frank's fault. We get most of them back to use next year, so hopefully we see things start to improve. This year and last are the result in part of the scholarship restrictions catching up to us.

Mike Holder has already said Frank will be back next year. Please don't start the "Fire Frank" crap that's infesting one of the other boards.

I am not the person to say if Frank Anderson needs to be fired or not I don't know all the details. But I do know this, the Pokes are one lose away from being swept in back to back series with teams in the bottom half of the Big 12 standings. On the other hand OSU has the worst stadium in the conference and he lost three scholarships that were not his fault. Who has let who down is up for debate.

The scholarship issue is not Franks fault, so lets not use that as a cause or an excuse.

For OSU to finish dead last in the conference is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

OSU should always be in the top half of the conference regardless.

The program is an embarasment.

Wow, as someone who was around when the stadium was built in the late 70's or early 80's, and who routinely saw us host regionals in the 80's due to said stadium, it is a little weird to hear that the stadium is now holding us back and a negative aspect of the program. How things change.

Saying we have the worst stadium is a bit of a stretch, but we are in the bottom quarter. The dressing rooms are crap compared to all the new stadiums around the league. It is a major problem, and one that may not be fixed in sometime. The IPF is #1 on the hit list to get done.

When you are missing 3 scholly's in baseball, and your facilities suck, your old reputation will only get you so far with recruits.

Not even close. Take a look at the others they have raised the bar and all OSU has done is paint it.

Since our esteemed AD considers baseball to be a "non-revenue" sport, do not expect many changes very soon. Baseball facilities do not equate to wins, players do, and we are not getting the players. That's recruiting.

If you were a top notch recruit, would you want to come to crappy facilities or nice newer ones? Facilities are a direct reflection of the school's committment (or lack of) to a program, and are an important part of recruiting.

Had the market not tanked, or had OSU pulled the money before it tanked, I'm sure construction for the new stadium would be starting soon.

But, the Pokes would still be home for the post season.

The commitment is there. Trust me. Of the $1.0 Billion campaign, $215M is athletics facilities and endowments, inclusive of the complete Athletic Village and a brand new, modern, leading baseball facility. Will it get done? Yes. When? Who knows. But I'd rather have Burns and Mike championing the cause than any combination in the history of our Alma Mater.

More interestingly, The IPF is NOT part of the $1.0B campaign. What does that say when the single most important athletic facility is not included in the single largest fund raising campaign ever? It says the IPF is already a done deal irrespective of the campaign. Only deduction one can make.

Well FP, when the heck is construction on the IPF going to start?
