No way that Kansas deserves an Orange Bowl trip over Missouri.
Missouri won the North Division and beat Kansas head-to-head in doing so. While the BCS Bowls worked out exactly as I suspected they would, Missouri got hosed....
If I were a Mizzou fan, I would be SO pi$$ed right now. They got royally screwed.

I agree 100%. Mizzou is ahead of KU in the polls and in the BCS standings and they get shafted. This season has to show the NCAA that a better plan needs to be put into place.

Did anyone else catch that stat on ESPN about KU? Not a single team they beat this year got a single Top 20 vote ALL year?
that's just crazy...poor Mizzou

Add to that, Missouri beat Illinois as well. They beat two BCS teams. That stinks they were 'penalized' for winning their division and 'getting' to play in a conference championship. And Ohio State...they didn't have to worry about a conference championship. The thing is, several teams had the opportunity to play for the MNC and choked it away. If a couple teams had taken care of business, it wouldn't be much of an issue. Weird weird year.

Personally I think LSU will trounce tOSU. The Fiesta Bowl should be a good game though.

Weird year yes but this is the best year in terms of getting a better system put in place. Maybe not a playoff, but at least a more concise ranking system.

Don't blame Kansas. This was purely a business decision by the Orange Bowl selection committe, perhaps based on Missouri's poor fan support of the Big 12 championship game in San Antonio. Mizzery had their chance and they blew it. Pure choke job. (he he):D

But the BCS has shown a trend of penalizing teams for earning the right to play in a Conference Championship game.
In the history of the BCS, there have been 23 Conference Championship game losers. 22 of those failed to receive BCS Bowl bids. The one exception was OU in 2003 after losing to Kansas State.
I think the Conference Championship game is THE way that Conferences should end the season. I think it is wrong to so clearly penalize losing teams who play in Conferences that have a Championship game.

The "BCS" did not penalize Mizzery, agree? The "Orange Bowl Selection Committee" made a business decision.

I feel bad for the Mizzou players. I understand the "business" decision the Orange Bowl committee made, but it's not the players' fault the fans suck at traveling.

What makes the Orange Bowl think that KU travels any better than Mizzou?

Yes, that is my question also!
They travel reasonably for their BB team but I don't think so much for their FB team. Maybe the fact they are playing in a BCS game might spur some of them on.

There was objective evidence on display in San Antonio that Mizzery fans don't travel. Kansas is a toss up.

KU fans didn't even realize they had a football team until a couple weeks ago.
Probably think that "QB guy" is really just a point guard.
