Redshirt freshman running back Dexter Pratt has decided to leave the Oklahoma State football program, a university source confirmed on Wednesday. Whether Pratt plans to transfer and play elsewhere is not known, the source added.
During his senior high school season at Navasota, Texas, Pratt was rated by Scout.com as the nation's No. 11 running back prospect. After rescinding his LSU commitment, he became a late addition to the Cowboys' 2009 class.
OSU remains outfitted with a solid group of running backs. Kendall Hunter, the 2008 Big 12 rushing leader, returns for his senior season. Travis Miller, who performed well during the recently completed spring-practice period, is a sophomore and former Union All-Stater Jeremy Smith is a redshirt freshman. Smith has recovered from shoulder surgery.
Joseph Randle, a four-star national recruit from Wichita, Kan., arrives in June.
