Okay, alumni... post here when you graduated from CED/SHS and a favorite memory or story.
Class of '74- I don't know if it is one of my favorite memories but it is one I remember. I was on the yearbook staff (photographer) and we played Enid at Enid. We hadn't beaten Enid in like 20 years and I got some good action shots during the game. But once it was over (we won), I ran onto the field and celebrated with the team like any student would. When Mrs. Kiser mentioned the game, she asked "What kind of pictures did you get of the celebration?" Uhhhhhhhh. We ended up asking the NewsPress for permission to use of their pictures in the yearbook. :(
Oh, and my Mom is an alumnus of SHS and so is my son.

I'm jealous. Did you get a State championship t-shirt? Was SHS 3A back then?

I've always wondered this.
Did those leather helmets make your head sweat, and was it scary playing without a facemask? :D

According to the OSSAA website, Donart won the Class 2A State championship in football in 1967 or am I not reading it right?

I think the year in the record book is the calendar year that the season was played in. ('67) and the graduation year that frank is referring to is actually the next. ('68)
I'm an '82 Putnam City West graduate and we won it that "year" but it's shown in the record books as '81.

Class of '71 here. Not sure what to dredge up for a memory; maybe the time a bunch of us climbed over the fence into the (recently?) Astro-turfed Lewis Field and played some pitch & catch... That was pretty cool.

Class of 1981. Our class was the last official "C.E.Donart High School". Might have to dig out the yearbooks to jog my memory for stories!

Another test?!? I hate tests. I thought C.E. Donart was like the first mayor or something. It's been awhile.

Good job, frankeaton! Now, can you name me four restaurants in the 70's in Stillwater that aren't there now? The ones I'm thinking of were places we went for lunch. And the buildings might still be standing but the name of the place has changed... hint! hint!

Also, Braum's that used to be by the high school.
And IGA across the street west of the high school; loved those donuts!

the drag was around the Sonic back to Griff's, I had never seen another one until I moved to blue collar Garland
and Hardee's, ate there in Jr High but what was it before Hardee's?

I think when we moved to Stillwater in '71 Hardees was there. I'm not sure what it was before then. I remember a fish place that fried fish kind of like Long John's Silver does. Can't remember the name. Was Sirloin Stockade the restaurant that was where Whataburger is now on Boomer Road? I remember a restaurant there and one on the Strip with the cow. Wasn't there also a pizza place where the Braum's is or next to it on 6th street? Shakee's pizza or something like that?
