Anyone else been watching this on HBO? It's been really impressive so far through the first two episodes...

Am I apparently the only one watching this? Tonight was Part III where they were on liberty in Melbourne recovering from Guadalcanal...and in it, Basilone was awarded his Medal of Honor...good all around episode and went more into the backgrounds of the people involved...

Didn't reply as I had them on DVR and had not watched yet. But got caught up and is good but just doesn't seem anywhere near up to Band of Brothers to this point. I thought it was because it was to early but by episode 3 Band of Brothers was already really good.

The issues I have so far is that they are not making it a point to explain who is who and how they fit into the military rank and divisions? Also they have so many loose ends hanging around like the kid who has a heart murmur. With Band of Brothers each episode could almost stand on its own but with this they are doing a bunch of running story lines...

According to the ratings you may not get to many responses. The rating have been a complete disaster for HBO. I wonder how many people were turned off by Tom Hanks hateful comments about the US and the troops.
